While in Spain with my family, we all took a day-trip to Toledo for some sightseeing, about 70 km south of Madrid. The history here is stunning, at one point, it was a religious hub for Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The architecture was old school throw back. The weather was stunning too.
We take a bus in early, and it's inclusive of a tour. They do a walking guided tour of the old city, naturally I tune out. Something about tour groups, I don't know -- why is it so hard to focus? The pictures are stunning, though.
There's not much more to say about the city. The main bit is a walled city. Of course, it has its own city things but this is what most people go to visit. The most I can remember is that there were a bunch of old statues everywhere, and a lot of rocks. Traveling enriches your life, one statue of an antiquated white person at a time.
