STAY: EASYHOTEL BUDAPEST

We flew in from Zhulaniy airport in Kiev, Ukraine, to Budapest to end the leg of our vacation taken in late October. We'd had a great time.

Part of the reason why we flew via Budapest was because it was the cheapest way out of Kiev, back to London. The second reason was for easyHotel. For those that haven't budget traveled around Europe, "easyJet" is the main budget airline. They started to create a chain of companies and "easyHotel" was the hotel version. So, of course, being budget, you don't expect it to be that great, and, to our expectations, it wasn't. But, it was what we needed at the end: just a quiet, shoddy little hotel room with a decent shower. When we first moved to London, we had booked easyHotel while we looked for a place to stay. Upon finding a place, we canceled our easyHotel booking but they awarded us credit -- only to be used at other easyHotels (it sucks that much). So, we used those credits on Budapest.

When we got in it was dark already. Did some night tourism along the river. Did some churches, some Parliament house, etc. Honestly, can't remember much from this city. Here, we'll let the pictures do the talking:

‍...I said a siiiiilent niiiiight.
‍Yeah wherk wherk that runway
‍Taking a dump in the river @ night with backlighting
‍Get someone with a steady hand to take your pictures
‍I love all my Buddhas and all my Pests.
‍This is the first in a two-photo installation of "people that look like statues."

The next day, we do kind of the same tour-walk (since it's from our hostel) but we end up capturing most of the monuments in the day. It was pretty wet that day. I remember crossing a bridge to get to the other side, as people often do. We went into a little bit that was kind of like a sectioned off city and checked out the cathedral there. Thorin's facial expression in the following photos dictates his feelings

"This bread I'm eating is horrible."
‍"Look, I mean it's a bridge and I can walk on it. What more can you ask for?"
‍"Iss a buildin' innit??"
‍"I've seen better views"
‍"I lyk dis street here"
"What youawnnabout??"
‍The second installation in the "people that look like statues." J'adore.

Then, the next day we go to the city park to just take a walk. Was a good way to wind down.

‍1.... 2.................... 3 BLINK SNAP picture captured forever.
The castle touched me here.

What else do I remember from this trip? We go to the "Great Market Hall" which is essentially a large scale farmers market. We got to try some horse meat sausage and the like. The best part was when I wanted to buy an apple, so I picked one up off of their 'display' in a pyramid. Then, the lady starts shouting at me in English saying that unless I wanted to buy ALL the apples, then I shouldn't be picking up the apples. She said, "You don't wanna buy all of them, do you? Huh???" and I just said, "No, but I want this one." And she totally ignored me. So I just got an apple at the stall next to hers.

Anyway, so that's Budapest.
