We came into Brussels on the train from Amsterdam station, early in the morning after a good night with Marcus. Arriving into Brussels it is immediately apparent that you are entering a major European political capital (in fact THE major European capital as it is the seat of the European parliament). We only spent the day and then the morning of the following day, but we managed to get a good tour of the city and make our way out to Atomium.
We wandered around for a bit looking at the (quite impressive) architecture, before venturing out to see the rest of the city.
Then we obviously dove into the local wares - 1€ waffles that were out of this world. Jason said it's one of the few things he'd consider coming back to Brussels for specifically. Spent the evening drinking wine on the ground in Brussels main square. Perfect.
From here we took the midday train to Luxembourg.
